Taking some offline time to migrate my bullet journal to a new month.

@benwerd Not using any tracker anymore - just a "to do" list which I keep in a txt file with the http://todotxt.org/ system - plus an offline bullet journal style notes in a paper notebook. Was tired of dismissing notifications and postponing due dates :-)

It's been difficult keeping my paper bullet journal up-to-date as I'm writing down lots of logs digitally. Probably also due to the fact that I spend most of the day in front of a computer. Literally.
I miss taking out my bike to get to work too. Some of the woes of six months being stuck in Covid Home-Office.

Today I'm in my fourth week of forced working from home-office.

Some moments I seem to think we have it all under control and we're actually managing to combine baby sitting and working at the same time, but then the two-year old in my son resurfaces and he needs attention every 15 seconds.

We love spending time with him, but the combination with a sprint plan deadline is making me a bit short-fused and nervous. I'm keeping my cool however by realizing how lucky we are, compared to many families in the World and especially in Italy.

Still feeling pretty bad how much TV he needs to see to keep him busy. It does seem that he is starting to be able to play on his own for a - little - while longer. He likes the V-Tech MagicBook 3D interactive toy, especially the little 3D animations. He's so clever.

We got him more cars and a garage and the biggest extension set of the Lillabo Ikea train (50 pieces!) - So it's not like he has a shortage in toys, it's just that he's only two.

Week three of forced home office is almost over. Thanks to the electronic baby sitter aka TV we are able to get some work hours in.

Went to the supermarket this morning around 8:20. Weren't many people around. Aldi Süd installed protective screens for their cashiers.

Still a bit of a shortage of pasta and rice, otherwise all food is still plenty there. It did seem that the shop was a little understaffed.

At the DM I had to leave a package of disinfectant swipes, even when it was in a different size, because the cashier said only one package a customer was allowed. I tried to negotiate, but apparently size doesn't matter.

At the bakery they had installed hanging sheets of plexy glass as a protective screen above the counter. Thought it was a smart way to be able to prevent the nice people working there from getting sick.

The news and measures about the corona virus are giving me anxiety caused nightmares. I feel genuinely scared about what is happening. Worried about my family and my friends and colleagues. Worried that we might not have enough supplies. Worried about how the World As We Knew it is over. Perhaps I've seen too many apocalyptic movies and TV.

I've been away from the office at home for five weeks now. Working from home was okay until my son couldn't go to the kindergarten anymore and then last Friday, my laptop broke. I got the machine replaced. Hopefully I can be somewhat productive again today.

We're together in this until at least April 16th when the schools can reopen. Today is March 17th. A complete lock down of Germany might still happen. For how long is totally unclear? I need to make an inventory of the food and supplies in the house.

Nathan is great and developing. He's also starting to talk much more. And he even formed little sentences. It is however tough keeping him busy without simply turning on the TV. Worried what this is doing to his development?

Another month is ending and I'm also almost at the end of my "Volume IV" paper notebook. Only ten pages left of 251. That is not enough to start February 2020 so I'm preparing "Volume V". Proud that I managed to keep taking notes every day with the last journal since September 2019.

The latest Bullet Journal IOS companion app (version 2.0) improvements are impressive.

It now offers a great way of digitally backing up your paper notebooks.
Totally worth the $4.99 bucks! (I'm not getting anything out of this, I'm just a fan)

Another month and year goes by. Time for a new Bullet Journal notebook too for me.

Wanted to write something more personally here but decided to keep it for my private journal. Not everything has to be public.

Some days I don't write in my bullet journal, and when I take the time to finally catch up with journaling, I find myself often looking at this site or at my TaskWarrior notes, to remember where I was before.

Bye bye November, and hello December. A new month also brings another Bullet Journal migration. Last one for 2019! And probably also the last one for my current Leuchtturm notebook. I think I’ll manage to fit four months in 250 A5 pages.

A new month has come along so it’s time again to migrate the Bullet Journal

Proud of myself for achieving a 10 day streak of writing a daily gopher journal log entry.
