This article about using the Rhein river better for allowing commuters to travel optimally between the cities on this mighty river immediately brought the Duck Boat tours in Boston, USA to mind.

What if we had amphibian vehicles and buses, preferably electrical powered, which could move on water as well as on land? These vehicles could cut off the meandering flow of the Rhein river and essentially go in a straight line connecting Karlsruhe with Cologne, Düsseldorf and Duisburg.

Had my first Beyond Meat patty burger at the Düsseldorf gourmet festival. It was actually pretty tasty. The burger was 50% more expensive as "classic beef". While eating It, the vegetable patty gave me some sensation of eating an actual juicy beef burger., but it couldn't totally convince me. The Beyond Meat patty burger misses the taste of pure animal fat. No combination of vegetables can - today at least - completely replace that probably. It was an interesting experience nevertheless. Thank you http://www.veggiewerk.de/

Wrote to Web support regarding getting WhatsApp Web on the powered 8110 4G:

Hello Dear WhatsApp for KaiOS Developers!

Thank you first of all for your efforts and trouble making WhatsApp
available on the Nokia 8110 4G! It's amazing how capable a device like
this little phone can be
On the other hand however I am missing gravely the integration of
WhatsApp Web with the phone, especially since the keyboard and text
input experience is somewhat... bad.
Something I don't really understand as the hardware is there. The phone
has a capable camera to read the QR code.
So I was wondering, what's the holdup to release this SUPER DUPER useful
feature in the next release of WhatsApp for KaiOS?

Thanks for listening en keep on rocking!

Cheers,

Johan from Düsseldorf, Germany

Back home after an excellent three week in Italy!

Loved spending time with the and enjoying good food and fun activities. Also, we escaped the last heatwave in Düsseldorf that way. Spent a very relaxing and refreshing two week vacation in San Vigilio di Marebe in South-Tirol.

More to follow later.
