A couple of days with as my main OS and it's been going well. No big issues so far. Had to look up a couple of things and installed the Gnome Tweak application pretty fast to make the UI more "familiar" to me. But so far so good! It helps though that many things I do I can do from within the browser.

Pure HTML page, without images, styling or animations or transitions are still web pages, bringing information across the Internet to anyone with a connection and a browser.

One of the aspects I love about the servers or instances is that every server's content and all the author's public posts can be visited, read and seen online in any web browser without "register to see more nags" - it's open Web as it should be!

Epson's unsubscribe form is as bad as it gets. It simply does not work in any browser due to a combination of CORS issues and an impossibly crazy layer of data-mining and tracking added on top of what should be a simple form submit. So I tried the unsubscribe through Postman instead, copying the form fields I found from the web page. It got through to the confirmation page. Let's see if it worked for real.

The text editor in Nextcloud is pretty cool. Works well with Markdown notation. Seamlessly editing files in the browser and on the OS with great syncing. Haven't had a "conflict" once after a couple weeks of working with it.
Yunohost + Nextcloud + Raspberry Pi 3 B = 👍

So what kind of legal GDPR trap are we in when unsubscribing from a newsletter is impossible because you do not want to accept the cookies from the company's page to unsubscribe?

Some screenshots to illustrate the problem:

I need to accept these trackers on my browser before I can unsubscribe?

Or is the site just plain broken? Clicking the "Abmelden" button does nothing.

Web apps should not try to re-invent the HTML "date-picker" element for the sake of "branding consistency" in every single app, especially not if there is no specific feature that the default browser date-picker lacks in functionality.

Please always include the browser's address bar in your Web screenshots - the URL of a page is crucial information.

I've been using FireFox as my main browser for a long time now - wanted to give Edge a try at work since it integrates with Microsoft's office stuff well - but I am having a hard time liking the overall experience. Tab navigation is a confusing - sessions seems to time-out more - ... stuff that didn't happen on FireFox... Going to give it another day or two.

It's pretty neat how fast "surfing" on a static site in a Hyperdrive is , feels like the ideal solution for a local intranet set or small community website. Also Agregore Browser is cool.

Just waited about 5 minutes for the ZX-81 "3D Defender" game to load from the emulated "cassette" and played a more than 40 year old game awkwardly in my browser. https://archive.org/details/3D_Defender_19xx_J.K._Greye_Software

Seems like Chromium/Electron based applications don't work well on Elementary OS 6, tried it yesterday and wanted to run Vivaldi browser but it only showed a blank / white square; but Firefox worked fine. Will try to see if there is a work-around because I do want to give that OS a go. Also, Vivaldi really has cool ideas for managing tabs, but I already get anxious when I have 9 tabs open due to my old-school idea that every
10:39 tab open is just there munching on RAM.

Perhaps it's time to go European with my Web browser? Almost everyone on the Vivaldi team is North-European, more precisely Scandinavian - and the browser features even look cool. https://vivaldi.com

Switching search engines today from DuckDuckGo to Ecosia as ClimateChange has a higher prio than our privacy. Still using the DuckDuckGo extension in the browser - just to limit the wasted energy of cookies and trackers.
