Had a good time at the "Roh Comedy club English edition" in Düsseldorf last night. Some really talented comedians and musicians. The place was full and the laughter sincere. https://
Really love the theme song of Lockwood & Co by BadBadNotGood - "Can't leave the night" is perfect for this kind haunting ghost Eighties vibe song
Super proud of our five year old - he was super tired after kita, and didn't really feel like doing this sport first. After some time and after eating a banana, he picked himself up and gave it his best. He is amazing.
I can't really place Satya Nadella's accent.
We're supporting the Red Cross with some cash and hoping aid can come quickly to the people in the devastated areas after the earthquake hit Turkey and Syria. Also looking into other ways on how to help.
Got one of those fancy steamer cleaning devices for my birthday - thanks mom - and now I am going to steam-clean the sh** off of everything! #usaexpressions
There is something really liberating with using command line interfaces to interact with an application. No fancy and distracting UIs or complex build tools. Just a cursor, some input and useful output. Allows you to focus on getting the task done.
Had a weird dream in which somebody won a 160 million Euro and I, winning 10€, yes only 10, had to both stand on a stage to be officially handed over the price. The money came in a box and a single, brand new banknote.
I am using Earthstar Project's user_scripts in my Timekeeper tool. Programmed using Typescript and using the Deno runtime. It is super nice how I have multiple copies of the data generated by the app. The data is stored within the Earthstar "share" first of course. Then I sync the data with a local dir, which also allows me to edit the data from any editor I have. Then I can easily sync that same data with a remote Earthstar replica, For backup I regularily make a quick zip file backup on an USB stick. All from the command line and without hassle. Oh and I forgot I also keep a replica on another PC, where I can also edit the data which then can sync back.
Deleted my Dropdox account multiple years ago - or so I thought... Last Friday a friend shared some excellent photos from a fun event we were at through his Dropbox account. He posted the link on our WhatsApp chat. I clicked it using my Android phone and enjoyed seeing the pictures. This morning I receive a message on the e-mail address I used to have with Dropdox about their updated terms and services. How did Dropbox found out I accessed their services? Was it Google, through Android, was it Meta through WhatsApp? Or what dark marketing magic was applied to detect I "came back" to Dropbox? You can check out, but you can never leave.

Enjoying to book The School Of Life by Alain De Botton. Early in, but already feeling good about having picked it up at the bookstore.
There should be a legal penalty for sites that require to register before being able to unsubscribe from mailing lists. Looking at Goodreads.
Had a really great international Burns night or Burns supper today with a very nice group of people from allover, to also have happened to have made Düsseldorf their home.
On the train to München. Compared to flying, this is so far have been a much more relaxed experience. Just get on board, find your seat and relax. Funny how we're currently going 258 km/h. The train is a bit wobbly though. So still requires trust in the engineering and technical skill of the people maintaining tracks and trains. It's a long ride, but we're getting there.
Really enjoyed #willow! Totally deserves its three volumes. Loved also it music score. Super cool. Money For Nothing - best intro ever.
It's 9:00 in the morning. How many times did you authenticate yourself with services and apps? I already lost count.
Cats and dogs probably find us humans crazy for defecating in a perfectly fine water source.
Wondering how long it will take for #ChatGPT to be added to Amazon's Alexa devices. This would make both instantly more useful because of the ubiqutiousness of Amazon's devices and the power of OpenAI.
I am 42 years old and I'm not too proud to admit my eyes teared up during Elsa's epic battle with the sea/water horse and her finding out the purpose of her calling in Frozen 2.
