Stop saying: "Can I ask you a quick question?" - if you need to ask somebody something, it's probably worth more time than can be spent within the expected time frame of what is described by "quick". Please say: "Can you help me with something?" or start the question right away. In fact, if you ask me "Can I ask you a quick question?" you already did.
